ILOILO CITY, April 06 (PNA) -- Comelec Regional Office 6
Director Rodolfo Sarroza assessed the March 24 registration for this
year's May barangay election to be generally peaceful with only a
few political interventions reported.
Sarroza said that there were some reports reaching his office
during the registration day that some politicians have been trying to
make early "gimmicks" especially during the last registration day,
perhaps, in order to work out for their favor the result of the barangay
election.
"These are only minimal, but we expect political interventions to
arise during the campaign period on May 1-10," Sarroza said.
